Artist’s Statement
My artistic concerns are with the relationship between colors and shades, and with the balance of shapes and lines on the picture plane. I work two-dimensionally in acrylics, watercolors, colored pencils, oil pastels, ink, and a variety of printmaking techniques. I enjoy combining different media in one picture so that the process is more challenging and the result is a unique visual statement. My work ranges from miniature to wall size – from realistic to abstract. My newest endeavor is photography.
I’ve shown my paintings, drawings and prints in more than 100 exhibitions. My works are in many private collections throughout the country. I received my MFA in printmaking from Pratt Institute, New York in 1980.
